SARAH MOLESKY – Equestrian Director The saying “It takes a village” has never rang more true than it has over the last few weeks at the Equestrian Cen- ter. We would like to extend a huge “Thank You” to the Oldfield Volunteer Corps! The much needed and long overdue remodeling of the run-in sheds required a tremendous effort, which the OVC took in stride. Three of the sheds have been completed and look stunning! The horses were literally waiting outside of the sheds for the team to stop working so that they could get inside, out of the heat and away from the bugs. The design of the sheds is made to maximize air flow, lowering the temperatures inside the sheds. Community is the foundation of the many gears that keep the center running, from the endless efforts of the hardworking staff to our beloved volunteers who never stop tackling odds and ends projects! These projects are their pride and joy—plus they get in their exercise for the day! We love having them, and could not be more humbled by all of the support that we have received. The barn is the sanctuary for so many. The peace that can be found in visiting the center comes in many different forms— whether it be a therapeutic trail ride, the tranquility of the pastures, or enjoying the laughter of a child or grandchild watching the chickens frolic in the coop. From the bottom of the Equestrian team’s heart, thank you to all of our volunteers for your dedication and efforts in improving this sanctuary for all to enjoy.
