The Oldfield Clubhouse Team welcomes 2021, as I believe we all do, with optimism that 2020 is behind us. We all hope that we can move forward from the challenges 2020 presented. While some of these challenges unfortunately resulted in events being postponed, altered, or canceled, our dining operation has been receiving great feedback from members for both lunch and dinner service. Members seemingly always en- joy our pre-fixe meals, holiday dinners and theme nights; but, we encourage you and your family to join us for lunch or dinner as well to enjoy the spectacular meals Chef Cory and team have been creating! Member engagement is the focal point of 2021, as we plan to host our traditional events (such as Oyster Roasts!) throughout the year in addition to creating some new experiences. Our focus when planning these events is providing opportunities for community building and social interaction, while maintaining a safe environment for all. One positive from 2020 was the addition of a trailer grill and smoker to Chef’s “tool kit”. This allows us the flexibility to host pop-up community cookouts utilizing various venues and amenities afforded to us at Oldfield. We look forward to increased interaction with members gained at these cherished events, as we are sure many of you do as well, and will continue to work within the guidelines of safety for all. We appreciate all of the support from our members and look forward to the exciting year ahead! Speaking of exciting…With the start of a New Year we open the registration for our Wine Club for 2021. While 2020 certainly changed our plans for the Wine Club, many of our members still found great opportunities to enjoy the benefits throughout the year, including special virtual tastings with winemakers such as our Dave Phinney Wine Tasting. Many of our members certainly took advantage of the option to purchase wines through the club with some great purchase opportunities throughout the year.
