Hole #18

Hole Description

Oldfield’s finishing hole is a long, three-shot par 5 masterpiece.  With live oaks lining both sides of the fairway, this beautiful but demanding hole requires an accurate second shot, avoiding the trees left and the pond and bunker right.  The 18th green offers up one last gorgeous vista of the Okatie River.

Environmental Information:  The lagoon running along the hole’s right side has been planted with a variety of aquatic vegetation such as pickerel weed and five flag lilies.  Many of the lagoons at Oldfield are buffered by plant material that protects the water quality and aquatic life.  Another protected natural area runs along the left side of this fairway.  From May to November, this area is a breeding ground for the Wood Stork.
