River Cruise and Speaker Series with Amanda Kuehn

Fall is such a wonderful time to get out and enjoy the nature in the lowcountry as the hot days are behind. This month was no exception featuring a special speaker series and river cruise at the Outfitters Center with Amanda Kuehn, sea turtle expert and owner and Charter Captain of Spartina Marine Education Charters and accompanied by her husband Jeff, who captained the boat. Amber’s talk focused on the unique eco system in the lowcountry marshland as she brought along blue crab, shrimp and a small eco system to give everyone a visual learning experience. The group were also lucky enough on the cruise to see natures animals; dolphins, eagles, egret, oysters, and a fantastic view of the river.
