We had a fabulous Italian inspired wine dinner on Thursday, September 19. Dinner was served family style on the River Club lawn with lights strung overhead and a full moon rising over the river. There were five Italian wines served with a blind tasting for the evening which paired two whites for one course and two reds for the second and finished off the evening with a great prosecco. Chef Jason created a great arugula risotto, sunchoke and zucchini timbale and a branzino involtini for the first course. With the red wines he made lentils with a house made sausage, brisket that was braised in chianti, and a porchetta. If you have not come out for a wine dinner this year our next one is on October 23 and will be featuring French wines and what will likely be an unforgettable menu from Chef Jason.
