The month of June brought the return of full-service dining and the clubhouse gained positive momentum from our busy golf course. Members and guests have been raving about the meals served during Lunch following rounds of play! Our most positive culinary feedback continues to come from Chef Cory and teams’ weekly dinner specials at the Magnolia Grill. With a new menu each week, the feedback is consis- tently positive. The specials have included fresh fish, flatbread pizzas and unique twists on traditional southern dishes like Fried Green Tomatoes with Crab Pimento Cheese. We hope that all members consider joining us or ordering takeout! As we move into July, we are excited to use our new smoker and grill to offer mem- bers a socially distant and safe 4th of July experience. We encourage you to enjoy the featured barbeque options, which include Pulled Pork, Ribs, Smoked Chicken, Burgers and Hot Dogs, as we celebrate the most American of Holidays. This curbside to-go barbeque will be served right out front of the Clubhouse, making it a convenient (and delicious!) option for members using the pool or golf course and those heading to enjoy their meal picnic style at one of our many pavilions. Also, during July, the Food & Beverage team continues to move towards the next phase of reopening with additional staff being added to open for Sunday Brunch. While the utilization of dining from the Clubhouse provides for better engagement of the community with to-go meals that serve those that prefer to dine at home, at the pool or as post-golf beverages and snacks, we know the River Club provides some of Oldfield’s most treasured views. During the next phase we will be adding opportunities for food service at the River Club. As we continue to expand service, we need Oldfield members to continue to support the dining operation and encourage your neighbors to do the same. The dining operation relies on utilization. Please continue to make dinner reservations, so we can provide the appropriate socially distanced experience and service all of our members deserve.
