Serve Toss Tips

The winter sun sits at its lowest all year and is something to consider when deciding if you should serve or receive first. Some tennis players have a toss way to the side and are not affected as much as others. You may also be playing with a left handed partner and so choosing the correct side to serve from becomes a big deal. Remember, you can only change sides once the set is over so factor the sun into your decision as to who serves first, and from which side. Oldfield has a Mixed doubles tennis tournament on Saturday, January 8th; a social round robin mixer on Thursday, January 14th; and an interclub match on Saturday, January 22nd. Plenty of tennis to be played so keep your serve toss in mind!
